Carolyn B. Cooper, M.D., ABFM, CCD
Dr. Carolyn B. Cooper is a board certified family physician with 17 years clinical experience. Dr. Cooper is also certified as a clinical densitometrist, a specialty dedicated to the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis. She received her MD at the Medical College of Virginia and completed family practice residency training at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Dr. Cooper has spent her career in private practice at American Health Network in Lafayette. In 2012, Dr. Cooper received recognition for the delivery of quality diabetes care from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. She is a member of the American Association of Family Physicians, American Medical Association and the Indiana State Medical Association.
Dr. Cooper is familiar with the Purdue culture, as her husband is a metabolomics applications specialist at the Bindley Bioscience Center at Purdue's Discovery Park. Additionally, Dr. Cooper is the music minister/organist of Chapel of the Good Shepherd, the Episcopal Campus Ministry at Purdue. She volunteers with the Commemorative Air Force, Food Finders Food Bank, Tippecanoe County 4-H and Lafayette School Corp. In her free time, Dr. Cooper and her husband are amateur home winemakers. She and her husband have two children, ages 16 and 13.

Kimberly K. Jefvert, MSN, FNP-BC
Kim Jefvert has more than 24 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. Beginning her career as an adult nurse practitioner (ANP), she became board certified as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) in 1995. She has completed the American Academy of Anti-Aging's functional medicine fellowship.
Throughout her career, Kim has worked in schools of nursing, an employer health clinic, community health clinics, rural health primary care clinics, prison health care and pediatric private practice.
Kim volunteers at the Benton County Community Foundation and supports her 16-year-old daughter's riding career at Tall Pine Stables. She has a son who graduated from the John Deere Technology Program. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, swimming, reading and biking.

Beth Ann Taylor, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC, GNP-BC
Beth Ann Taylor has more than 25 years nursing experience. She received her RN in 1988 and her BS in nursing in 1993. Beth is triple certified as an adult nurse practitioner, a family nurse practitioner and a geriatric nurse practitioner. Throughout her career, she has worked in hospital, community health center, private practice and home health settings.
In her free time, Beth enjoys playing with her three dogs, volunteering with the 4-H Club group Pawprint, riding her bike and gardening. She has two children, one in high school and one in college.

Jodi Briggs, RN, BS, Health Coach
Jodi Briggs has more than nine years of diverse nursing experience in cardiac care, progressive care, case management, orthopedic- neurology, and behavioral health. Prior to becoming a registered nurse (RN), she worked for more than 10 years in social services, mainly with the elderly population. She graduated with her RN from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lafayette and received her BS from Purdue University. Previous positions include IU Health Arnett, IU Health and, most recently, Sycamore Springs in Lafayette.
Jodi has three children, ages 16, 13, and 6. She spends her free time with her family and attending the children's sporting events.

Cheryl A. Laszynski, RN, BSN, MBA, Health Coach
Cheryl has 28 years of health care executive/management experience. She received a BS in nursing from Indiana University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. As the administrator/director of ancillary services for Arnett HealthSystems, she managed a variety of physician practices and clinical departments, such as urgent care centers, occupational medicine, pharmacy, lab, dietetics, and physical/occupational/speech rehabilitation.
Cheryl's clinical experiences include emergency/intensive care, home health care, managed care/benefit administration and quality improvement. Cheryl will look familiar to Purdue employees, as she has worked on campus for the past eight years. Most recently, she was the worklife administrator for WorkLife Programs.
Cheryl is married and has two adult children. She enjoys running, cycling, reading and spending time with her family.

Suzanne Rossiter, RN, BSN, MSN, Health Coach
Suzanne Rossiter has been a critical care registered nurse (RN) for eight years. She has worked at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer, Ind., and Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, Ind. Suzanne graduated in 2004 from Purdue University with a BS in nursing. She earned her master of nursing education and graduated magna cum laude from Valparaiso University in 2011. Suzanne also has experience as a diabetes educator.
She and her husband have 3-year-old twin girls.

Mary Jo Tilford, RN, Health Coach
Mary Jo Tilford has 34 years nursing experience in Iowa, Nebraska and Indiana. She received her RN in 1980 at Indiana Central University. Mary Jo has worked in several environments, including labor and delivery, urgent care and operating room. She has also been a school nurse. She has participating in health coaching and immunization clinics for employees of major insurance organizations.
Mary Jo and her husband have four children and two grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, kayaking and sheep dog herding.

Dianna Aaron, CMA
Dianna Aaron has more than 20 years of health care experience in Ohio and Indiana. She received her medical assistant certification from Cincinnati Technical College in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dianna holds additional credentials from CCU in Nashville, Tenn., in phlebotomy skills and training, NCCLS venipuncture, and skin puncture procedures.
Dianna is familiar with the Purdue culture as her husband is employed at Purdue Research Park. They have six children. This fall, they will have a total of 18 grandchildren and a second great-grandchild.

Jessica Dicks, MA
Jessica Dicks has more than 10 years' administrative assistant/front office experience and three years of medical assistant (MA) experience. In 2010, Jessica received her associate of applied science degree from Harrison College in Fort Wayne. Jessica previously worked at Unity Healthcare Internal Medicine in West Lafayette.
Jessica is married and has two daughters, ages 11 and 7.

Amanda Kottkamp, MA
Amanda Kottkamp has worked in health care for 15 years as a medical secretary, a patient care coordinator and a medical assistant. She graduated in 1997 from Keiser College in Melbourne, Fla. While in Florida, she worked in a variety of settings including orthopedics, rehabilitation and pediatrics. Amanda's most recent position was with Witham Pain and Neurology in Lebanon, Ind.
Amanda has two children, ages 17 and 13.

Cari Painter, MA
Cari Painter has worked in health care as a medical assistant (MA) for seven years. In 2005, she earned her associate degree in medical assisting from Ivy Tech Community College. Cari also successfully completed the American Heart Association Heart Saver First Aid Program. She is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She brings solid MA skills and experience and looks forward to working closer to home.
Cari has a 17-year-old son. In her free time, she enjoys playing the mandolin for her church and playing with her boxer dog.

Pharmacist

Nicole Noel, Pharm.D., Medication Therapy Management
Nicole Noel graduated from Purdue University in 2008 with a doctorate of pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree with a minor in management. She moved to South Carolina upon graduation and worked for Walgreens as a pharmacy manager. Her role in the community pharmacy also included serving as the market immunization trainer for her district, in which she was responsible for planning and implementing the rollout of a district-wide immunization program.
In 2011, Nicole and her husband relocated back to Indiana. She continued her work in community pharmacies until she joined Purdue in October 2012. She will serve as the clinical pharmacist providing medication therapy management services at the Center for Healthy Living. Nicole will work individually with clients to assess their medication regimen, increase understanding of medication use and possible side effects, and help manage prescription costs for employees and the University.

Rosemary Benjamin, RD, CD, CDE, CPT, Dietitian
Rosemary Benjamin graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a BS in nutrition and dietetics. She earned her registered dietitian (RD) certification in 1979. Rosemary has additional training as a certified diabetes educator (CDE) and certified product trainer-Medtronic insulin pump (CPT).
In her career, she has worked as a Purdue University food services supervisor, as an RD at the Regional Diabetes Center at Home Hospital and as the Tippecanoe County WIC Coordinator. While at Tippecanoe County, she was awarded the Perseverance Award, Aurora Borealis Award and Best Managed WIC Program. Most recently, she worked at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis as the physician liaison for specialty care-oncology/hematology.
Rosemary is married to the regional vice president of Pizza King. They have raised five children, a Siberian husky and a cat. Rosemary is also a "grand-dogma" of her daughter's 10 Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs. She enjoys exercising, acting, traveling and hosting pool parties.

Sara Primeau, ACSW, LCSW, EAP Counselor
Sara Primeau has more than 30 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker. She graduated from Purdue University in 1973 with a BS in psychology and earned her master's of social work in 1979 from Indiana University. She is a member of several associations, including National Association of Social Workers, International Association of EAP in Education and the National Alliance of Mental Illness. She will be familiar to Purdue employees as she most recently worked as the EAP Counselor for the Purdue University WorkLife Employee Assistance Program. Previously, Sara worked at the Wabash Valley Alliance.
Sara and her husband of 34 years have three sons and two grandsons. In her free time, Sara enjoys gardening, reading and traveling.

Amber Simons, BS, MCHES, Wellness Coordinator
Amber Simons has more than 12 years of health and wellness experience. She graduated from Illinois State University with a BS in community health education. Amber is a certified health education specialist (CHES) and a master certified health education specialist. She is a member of the Indiana Society for Public Health Education (InSOPHE), and active in the Tippecanoe County Tobacco Free Partnership. Amber has worked on the Purdue campus since 2003 as the worklife wellness specialist for WorkLife Programs. She also served on the Spring Fling Employee Recognition Committee.
Amber is married and has a 2-year-old daughter. She is an active member of her church and is a huge Disney fan.

Karen Sexton, Phlebotomist
Karen Sexton has more than 35 years experience as a phlebotomist. She is a certified phlebotomy technician and medical assistant. She has worked for Mid America Clinical Laboratories (MACL) for five years, and prior to MACL worked for LabCorp, Arnett Clinic and St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Karen has four children, two stepchildren and eight grandchildren. She loves to garden, watch baseball and spend time with her grandbabies.

Kristine Brower, AA
Kristine Brower has nine years of office experience. She graduated from Indiana Business College in Lafayette, where she earned an associate of applied science in business administration and an associate of applied science in administrative assistance. She has previously worked for The Care Group as the front office assistant. Kristine is also certified through the Pacific Institute “Strategies for Success.”
In her free time, Kristine plays volleyball and is on a women’s bowling team, which has participated in the National Bowling Finals.

Katina Hodson, AA
Katina “Tina” Hodson has more than 18 years of experience as a receptionist and assistant. Tina will look familiar to Purdue employees as she spent the past four years as the assistant for Purdue’s Employee Assistance and WorkLife Programs. Additionally, she previously worked as the receptionist for the Purdue Veterinary Clinic. Tina is also a pharmacy technician and has 10 years of experience in that role.
Tina loves reading, gardening and spending time with her family. She is married to her high school sweetheart. They have one daughter and one granddaughter.

Maggie Rice, AA
Maggie Rice has 13 years of experience an administrative assistant and receptionist. She has worked in health care at various medical offices including the Danville Care Center, Dr. Conn Dental, and, most recently, Carle Physicians. Maggie specialized in computer programming at Danville Area Community College in Danville, Ill.
Maggie recently moved to West Lafayette from Georgetown, Ill. She has two boys, ages 12 and 18. In her free time, Maggie enjoys hiking, canoeing and boating.
