Veronica Schirm graduated with her B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Spanish from Purdue University in 2000. She completed her M.S.Ed. in Counseling and Development with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling in 2003 also from Purdue. While in graduate school, she worked as a teaching assistant in the College of Education’s Department of Curriculum and Instruction and as a graduate assistant to the Learning Communities Coordinator. Through those experiences, she discovered her interest in academia and decided to pursue a university career rather than become a practicing therapist. She has since worked as an Academic Advisor in the Krannert School of Management (2003-2005) and as Undergraduate Program Administrator in the School of Chemical Engineering (2005-2012). In this most recent position, she was responsible for all administrative aspects of the undergraduate program and served as academic advisor, scholarship coordinator, and study abroad coordinator.
