Student Feature: Dana Smith

Dana Smith, junior in Applied Mathematics & Apparel Design with minors in French and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies, has recently founded an AAUW student organization at Purdue University. AAUW is a grassroots organization reaching as far back as 1881 with a focus on empowering women as individuals and as a community.


EMV Retreat

We are proud that several Honors College students were accepted into the 24th annual Emily Mauzy Vogel (EMV) Sophomore Leadership Development Retreat. This retreat is an intensive overnight program involving team building, leadership inventories, personal development, and will introduce participants to concepts surrounding strengths-based approaches to inclusive leadership.


Student Feature: Daniel Franz

Purdue sophomore Daniel Franz has a lot on his plate – in between working in the Office of University Sustainability, mentoring freshmen in the Honors College, and performing in Purdue’s orchestra, he manages to work towards a degree in Environmental and Ecological Engineering. On top of all this, he also serves as an RA in Tarkington Hall.
