The College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) annually awards approximately $1.2 million in undergraduate scholarships to assist incoming and current students in taking their next giant leap. Scholarship committees review all HHS students at the unit and college levels to determine scholarship eligibility, and decisions are based on factors such as merit, leadership and/or financial need. Visit the Division of Financial Aid to find additional information on the types of aid available for your Purdue education.

Deadlines for Prospective Students

To maximize consideration for merit-based scholarships, you should complete the early action admissions application by Nov. 1. Purdue University awards most of its merit scholarships, such as the Trustees and Presidential scholarships, to qualified first-year students based on the academic information you include with completed admission applications.

The Division of Financial Aid awards need-based scholarships, grants, loans and work-study opportunities. To be considered for these scholarships and funding, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Feb. 15.

You should also complete the HHS scholarship application by this date to be considered for college-level scholarships. The HHS online scholarship application will be made available mid to late December. You should plan to complete the scholarship process well in advance of the deadline to prevent issues with the submission of the application.

The first round of HHS scholarship awarding for admitted first-year students begins in mid-April. Any additional awarding will take place after May 1.

HHS Scholarship Process for Continuing Students

A limited number of scholarships for continuing students are available. In order to be considered for college-level scholarships in HHS, you must complete the HHS scholarship application by April 1.
