Audrey Cowling

Hometown:

I was born in La Mirada, CA and raised in Wisconsin. The city I lived in the longest was North Fond du Lac, WI.

Education:

  • B.A. in Psychology/Spanish, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh
  • M.A. in Community Counseling, Marquette University

Work Experience:

  • This is my first professional position, but as a student, I worked as a peer advisor, tutor, and research assistant. During graduate school, I completed an internship at Milwaukee School of Engineering Counseling Services. I have also worked as a teacher assistant at an elementary school, supporting children on the autism spectrum.

Advice for Boilermakers:

Get outside of your comfort zone. College is the perfect opportunity to try new and challenging things that will expand your horizons.

Fun Facts:

  • I have seen more than 25 Broadway musicals (my favorite is The Lion King).
  • I studied abroad in Tanzania as an undergraduate. I fell in love with the country and would love to go back someday.
  • I love to read. My favorite genres are science fiction/fantasy and historical fiction.
