Biography:

Jennifer M. Simpson, AuD, Clinical Professor, has been a clinical instructor and clinical faculty member in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences department since April of 2002. She received her M.A. in Audiology from University of Colorado at Boulder in 1997 and her Doctor of Audiology (AuD) from the University of Florida in 2004. She has served as the Director of Clinical Education in Audiology since 2010.

Dr. Simpson also provides clinical education for graduate students in the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program. She evaluates and treats patients of all ages. She is a First Steps Provider for the State of Indiana, specializing in infant and toddler hearing evaluations and intervention. She is one of 4 audiologists in greater community who have the advanced skills to diagnosed hearing loss at birth and provide appropriate intervention to those children and families.

Her primary classroom teaching responsibilities include teaching the Audiology Practice Management course and the clinical courses associated with graduate education in audiology clinical practicum.

Dr. Simpson is active in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  She is currently a member of the Academic Affairs Board. Prior to this committee, she was chair of the Council for Clinical Specialty Recognition (CCSR). She holds her Indiana state license in Audiology, is an ASHA certified audiologist, and belongs to the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).
