What does a helpful letter of reference say about a student applying to the CPD program?

Recommendations should be made based only on personal observations, as applicable. Please make sure to include negative traits as well (in the weakness section of the form/letter) – those will help us find good matches between preceptors and Interns:

  • • Student’s performance as an employee (student in your lab, other), such as:
    • - Students ability to function effectively
    • - Works independently
    • - Punctuality
    • - Reliability
    • - Enthusiasm/motivation
    • - Responds well to criticism

  • • Student’s personality traits, such as:
    • - Outgoing
    • - Interactive with others, supervisors as well as peers and others
    • - Open to collaborative inter-personal relationships
