Dr. Chang’s research is focused on health information technologies and their impact on quality of care.  She is currently collaborating with faculty from other disciplines to examine the protection of de-identified electronic health record data, particularly textual data, and the effects of personal health records on diabetes self-management.  She actively mentors students in integrative literature reviews and/or research/evidence-based projects.  She teaches courses related to research and evidence-based practice.
