Track: Dual degree

Alexandra Tarr

Tell us about yourself:

I am currently a ministry intern at City of God Church in Lafayette, where my team and I look for ways to equip 20-somethings toward serving the community and each other in a greater capacity. I also enjoy writing, and blog weekly about nutrition, fitness, faith and other aspects of health.

Your vision:

In the future, I plan to earn a medical degree and go on to work in a clinical preventative health/wellness setting.

Why Purdue:

Purdue is unique in that it offers a broad range of positions for working in research and/or gaining clinical experience (in addition to other types of helpful resources in the field). I also really appreciate the multidisciplinary approach of the MPH program and the degree of collaboration with other departments. Being at such a large university has opened doors to opportunities that I probably would not have been able to find elsewhere.

Your education:

I completed my Bachelor of Science in food science at Purdue University in 2016.
