Your vision:

My vision for my career is to work in a health department on public health programs in Indiana. Indiana has many health problems and I believe it is my duty to help the people who have made me who I am. A public health degree will help me pursue this goal by providing the necessary skills to properly develop health programs. In addition, I am hoping to work with cancer screening and early detection because of my mother’s stage IV cervical cancer diagnosis in 2008. Her illness was pivotal in my decision to pursue a health career.

Why Purdue:

I really enjoy the passion the people of the Purdue Public Health Graduate Program have. They want to see it succeed as much as I do. I am also enjoying the actual coursework. It is both interesting and engaging. The professors are captivating in class and make the work relevant to our future careers.
