From the Director

Richard Mattes

Welcome to the Public Health Graduate Program at Purdue University where our mission is to create and translate knowledge to promote the public’s health. We offer an combined master’s degree track (BS + MPH), a stand alone MPH and a dual degree track (MS or PhD + MPH). All tracks emphasize training in core disciplines and provide a comprehensive education of public health practice and policy. Our two-fold approach facilitates the translation of basic science to application and positions our graduates to be successful leaders in the public health arena.

To meet the diverse interests of our students, we partner with multiple academic units across campus to offer plans of study that match the professional goals of our students. I encourage you to browse our website to learn what we have to offer and to contact me if you have any questions about the program.

Richard D. Mattes, MPH, Ph.D., R.D.
