Health Sciences 4+1 / 3+2 Programs
Occupational Health Science (Industrial Hygiene) 4+1 Graduate Program
Beginning in Fall 2015, the School of Health Sciences will offer a new 4+1 nonthesis master’s program in Occupational Health (Industrial Hygiene). Students will take quality occupational and environmental health science courses as well as complete a field project (for many this will be an internship). This program is available to undergraduates who complete their Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health Science at Purdue, or to students who complete their undergraduate degree in a comparable industrial hygiene program at another university. Purdue’s undergraduate and graduate programs are both ABET Accredited.
Radiological Health Pre-Med Physics (RHMP) 4+1 Graduate Program
Students that successfully complete the RHMP Pre-Medical Physics program are eligible to apply for entry into the School of Health Science's accelerated (1 year) M.S. or a Ph.D. in Medical Physics. Completion of the undergraduate "Pre-Medical Physics" Radiological Health major at Purdue University is required. This program is for academically outstanding students who have excelled in the RHMP program and who are looking for a "fast track" for earning their Master of Science degree.
Unique Opportunity with Krannert School of Management
The "3+2" program is available to outstanding undergraduates in Health Sciences Pre-Professional. The program allows students to complete their B.S. and M.B.A. in a five year period. Students take three years of undergraduate courses, and then complete their M.B.A. program during their senior year plus one additional year. Students receive their B.S. degree in May of their fourth year and their M.B.A. in May of their fifth year. To be considered for this program, the student's grade point average must be a 3.7/4.0 at the beginning of their junior year. If eligible, the student completes the application process for graduate school during the junior year. More information...
