Current Projects in the Motor Development Lab
Currently we are conducting research on three projects in the lab.

1) - The effects of cognition and aging on postural control and stability.
In this study we have people of different ages playing a “computer game” that increases in cognitive difficulty  while they are standing on a force plate.  We will analyze both the postural and cognitive data to see how these variables change with age.

2) - Gait initiation in children.
In this study we have young children walking under various constraints while the gait initiation process is assessed.

3) - The integration of posture and manual control in older adults.
In this study are examining how the integration between the postural and manual control systems changes with age.
