A.A. Annarino Award for Outstanding Graduate Teaching

The A.A. Annarino Award recognizes excellence in teaching by a Department of Health & Kinesiology graduate student. The award is named in honor of Anthony A. Annarino, a long-time Department faculty member in the physical education pedagogy area and former president of AAHPERD.

HK faculty receive call for nominations in early Spring and encourage competitive HK graduate students to apply. Materials due early March. Committee of HK faculty select recipient. Recipient receives $200 and is acknowledged at the spring HK Department Awards Reception.

Carole J. Widule Award for Outstanding Graduate Scholarship (PhD)

Recognizes excellence in research by a Department of HK graduate student. Named in honor of Carol J. Widule, a long-time Department faculty member in biomechanics.

HK faculty receive call for nominations in early Spring and encourage competitive HK graduate students to apply. Materials due early March. Committee of HK faculty select recipient. Recipient receives $200 and is acknowledged at the spring HK Department Awards Reception.

HK Outstanding Master’s Student Award

The Outstanding Master’s Student Award was established to recognize an MS or MPH student who has exhibited outstanding ability in scholarly activities and promise for a productive career in his or her field.

HK Outstanding Engagement Award

The Outstanding Engagement Award was established to recognize excellence in service and engagement by a graduate student.
