Jon is the Lambert Facilities Manager and provides overall facility management, leadership, guidance and direction to develop, facilitate and sustain the operation of the Health and Kinesiology department, its laboratories, the Ismail Center and their initiatives that support learning, engagement and discovery as well as leadership and direction of the Master Plan Renovation. He initiates and implements policies and procedures to keep our department running smoothly. He serves as Building Deputy and front line liaison with faculty, staff and students from other buildings on campus. Jon is also responsible for the university’s annual updates of Equipment Inventory, Homeland Security Chemical Inventory Audit, Integrated Safety Plan, Lambert Building Emergency Plan, and Space Inventory Audit.
Jon is the supervisor of the department's facility operations support staff, including temporary hires. He is the Operations Director for the summer PALS (Purdue Athletes Life Success) program and coordinates spaces, fields, and equipment as well as the hydration of camp personnel, staff and campers.
As Lambert Project Manager, Jon assesses, coordinates and facilitates building work projects with Physical Facilities zone maintenance, central shops or project teams. He consults and collaborates with faculty, staff and students to design, develop and implement projects through imagination, invention and creation of various apparatuses, contraptions, and devices. Jon also plans & designs office, lab, and other space usage.
Jon is the Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee (APSAC) representative for the Colleges of Health and Human Sciences and Pharmacy. He serves as the Chairman of the APSAC Professional Development Subcommittee and as a member on the University’s Spring Fling Committee.
