Emma Giron

  • I graduated from Purdue University in May 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education and Exceptional Needs, as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Developmental and Family Sciences.

I am the associate teacher in the Blue Room. Throughout all four years of college, I worked at the Ben and Maxine Miller Child Development Laboratory School as a student worker. I did my student teaching spring 2017 in the Purple Room. I love working with young children, because every day they are experiencing something in the world for the very first time. As their teacher, I get the honor to be there during all these discoveries and facilitate a love of continuous learning. Building responsive, loving relationships with each individual child is extremely important to me. I feel that children learn best when they feel comfortable and cherished in their environment. I strive to create an engaging and secure environment in which the children and I can grow as people and learners.

I live on campus with my husband, Tony, who is a pharmacy student here at Purdue University. When not working or studying, we love to play and take walks with our puppy, Posey. My favorite things to do are shopping, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
