Supporting School Readiness for Hoosier Children

Stakeholders in Indiana have identified school readiness as a top issue of concern in our state. We know from research that educational achievement gaps already exist at kindergarten level between children who have developed school readiness skills and those who have not.

School Readiness sessions and resources offered through Purdue Extension focus on improving children's skills to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

Through fun, hands-on sessions for parents and caregivers of young children, participants learn interactive shared reading activities to support children's language and literacy skills. Helpful websites and other school readiness resources are also shared.
