Shop.org Student Summit 2014
Seniors majoring in Retail Management and Apparel Design & Technology attended The Shop.org Summit in Seattle, Washington. The summit is designed to educate college students across the nation on the digital and e-commerce world of the retail industry, and the career opportunities that await them post-graduation. The goal of this program is to have students leave with tangible examples, connections, and insights into a career path within digital retail.
Internships and Professional Development Courses
When you think about a college education, classroom learning is most-likely what comes first to mind. However, college is increasingly about learning experiences that take place outside the classroom. To enhance your classroom education, all students in the Department of Consumer Science are required to complete an internship or field experience in their area of study as part of graduation requirements.
