Happy Fall Semester Boilermakers!

“They are coming to see you…”  Over 70 companies are coming to meet YOU at our upcoming Sales, Retail & Financial Services Career Fair, September 19-21.  We have pre-fair events and workshops planned to help you maximize your experience and leverage multiple opportunities for internships or full-time employment.  Never in your career search will you have this many companies come to you at one time!  Mark your calendars and Save the Dates for these upcoming Professional Development events designed just for you by Sally Harmon and her team on the CSR Student Development Council



WHEN:  Tues., September 13th from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

WHO:     Any student who wants to learn “how” to “network” or strengthen their professional interaction skills.

WHAT:   An interactive workshop from 6-7 p.m. on “Networking 101” and then a chance to practice from 7-8:30 with our company reps.   Dress is business casual and light hors d’oeuvres will be provided.  If you RSVP’d already – GREAT!  If you didn’t and you want to attend, please come. If you would like a nametag in advance, please email to request one.



WHEN:   Mon., September 19th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. EST in North Ballroom, PMU

WHO:     Any student who wants to network with company recruiters

WHAT:   This event is for our Gold Level employers and Purdue students to mix and mingle with the evening before the career fair in a more casual setting.   An ice cream sundae bar will be offered. Dress is business casual.

COMPANY BRIEFING with Gold Level Companies

WHEN:   Tues., September 20th from 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. in STEW 206

WHO:     Any student who wants to listen & learn more about internship and full time opportunities for now or in the future.

WHAT:   Gold Level employers will each have five minutes to provide key information regarding their company and hiring needs.  Students will have the opportunity to ask questions in a group setting.   The student groups will then rotate to the next company.   Dress is business professional.

WHEN:   Tues., September 20th from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in STEW 202

WHO:     Any student who wants to practice their brand statement and receive instant feedback from an industry professional.  

WHAT:   “Why I am a good candidate!” Students can practice their “brand statement” one on one with company representatives and gain quick feedback.   Dress is business professional.

WHEN:   Tues., September 20th from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. in PMU North Ballroom and PMU Student Lounges.

WHO:     Any student who wants to speak with any of our over 70 company recruiters about an internship or full time job.  Interviews will be arranged typically for the following day.    

WHAT:   Check in at the PMU South Entrance of the South Ballroom across from the student lounges.  Swipe your PUID and get a name tag.  Dress is business professional.  A list of companies attending the fair is on CCO and CSR’s Website.


LVMH DAYS on Campus

WHEN:   Wed., October 26th and Thurs., October 27th (see below for break down)

WHO:     Students interested in working for luxury brands (Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Marc Jacobs Int’l, Hennessy, Moet Chandon, Guerlain, Sphora, and TAG Heurer. 

WHAT:   Multiple Events –

  • Brand Presentations - Wed., 10/26 from 9:00 – 11:45 a.m. in STEW 279
  • Luncheon – Wed., 10/26 from 11:45 a.m – 1:00 p.m. in STEW 278 (add’l info & RSVP info sent at a later date).
  • Brand Presentations -  Wed., 10/26 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in STEW 279
  • Group Interviews – Thurs., 10/27 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.  in CCO
  • Reception – Thurs., 10/27 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Marriott Hall Atrium (add’l info & RSVP info sent at a later date).



WHEN:   Multiple dates around campus.  Dates are listed HERE.

WHO:     Students who want their resume reviewed prior to career fair events

WHAT:   Booths set up around campus staffed by professionals to review your resume



  • Business Casual means dress slacks/skirt and a collared shirt or dress shirt (no tie necessary, no baseball caps, t-shirts, shorts, or jeans).
  • Business Professional means dress slacks/skirt with tie and/or suit jacket (interview ready).
