David joined the CSR Staff in August 2010. He is the Family Resource Management Specialist for the department. His objective is simple: Enhance the financial lives of Indiana citizens by developing and delivering educational programs based on the latest knowledge from the field of personal financial management. David is positioned to play a critical role as liaison between the citizens of Indiana and the exceptionally high level of knowledge produced by the Consumer Science research faculty. He specializes in logistic regression analysis and the use of large datasets in evidence based research, with experience in applied research and qualitative data. David is a graduate of the Department of Consumer Sciences at The Ohio State University where he completed his PhD in family resource management. He most recently served as an instructor at the Kansas State University Financial Planning Institute and as an industry tax professional in Manhattan, KS. David is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and recently joined the ranks of Accredited Financial Counselors (AFC) through the Association of Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE). His own research interests include Women's help-seeking and information search patterns for financial services, household investment time horizons, individual risk management profiles, and household level credit and debt management practices.
