Rhonda has worked at Purdue University for over a decade in continuing education for management and executive learners. Rhonda is currently Project Manager for the Center for Excellence in Leadership (EXCL). The center creates leadership development programs for external partners looking to improve their businesses.
Originally from Lafayette, Indiana, Rhonda earned a Bachelor of Arts at Purdue University and a Master of Fine Arts at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Following her MFA, Rhonda acquired an agent and pursued a career as a professional actress in New York City. Throughout and following her education, Rhonda taught acting and speech in a variety of educational institutions including Purdue University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Rutgers University, Kean University, the Westminster Choir College of Ryder University, and Montgomery Township Schools near Princeton, New Jersey. These acting and teaching experiences offered her great insight into entrepreneurship, commitment, human behavior, and working with diverse learners and audiences.
After living in New Jersey for fifteen years, Rhonda returned to Indiana in 2002 and resumed her path into education when she began her career at Purdue. Rhonda is currently earning her second Master's Degree in Education, specializing in Learning Design and Human Performance Improvement. Due to her combined experiences of working creatively, designing effective curriculum, teaching adult students and collaborating program content and experiences, she has a deep understanding of the learning journey for adult learners. She thoroughly enjoys the process of collaborating with faculty and industry professionals to create and innovate the best content and experiences to help professionals create new paradigms and challenge themselves to grow in truly meaningful ways.
