Vance Larsen is a Graduate Student in the Department of Consumer Science at Purdue University. Vance was raised on his family's farm in Geraldine, Montana before attending Gonzaga University. Vance received a Bachelor's of Business Administration with concentrations in Economics and Entrepreneurship while at Gonzaga. Before enrolling at Purdue he worked in the financial services industry, real estate industry, and most recently completed a year of service with the AmeriCorps program Denver Math Fellows. Vance's general research interests include financial decision-making of low income families in the United States and in developing countries, and the role savings and debt play in the post-secondary education decisions of high school graduates.
