Alan Dubinsky (Ph.D., University of Minnesota) is a Professor Emeritus in CSR at Purdue University and the Dillard Distinguished Professor of Marketing in the Dillard College of Business Administration at Midwestern State University. Prior to entering academia, he was a territory manager for Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys). His research has appeared in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Academy of Management Journal, Leadership Quarterly, and Sloan Management Review, among others, and is the author of four books. He is a former editor of the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management and a recipient of the Annual Excellence in Research Award from the American Marking Association Selling and Sales Management Special Interest Group. His coauthored article "Sales Force Socialization" appearing in the Journal of Marketing was voted by the AMA Sales SIG as one of the top ten most influential articles in the selling and sales management literature in the 20th century. His research interests are in professional selling and sales management.
