College of Health and Human Sciences Alumni Board
The HHS Alumni Board serves the interests of alumni of the College of Health and Human Sciences at Purdue University. It promotes the welfare of Purdue and encourages interest among alumni in the University and each other. The board provides a means for public recognition of professional achievement by alumni, faculty, friends and students of the college. It also facilitates opportunities for social interaction and continuing education to its membership.
Up to 20 HHS alumni—representing all HHS academic units—serve on the HHS Alumni Board. Members commit to a minimum three-year term during which they must have a current membership in the Purdue Alumni Association. Most board activities are planned in conjunction with the board's bi-annual meetings. Meetings take place on the West Lafayette campus the Friday before homecoming (fall semester) and the Friday before the HHS Alumni Awards Dinner (spring semester).
HHS Alumni Board member activities include attending the annual HHS Awards Dinner and volunteering in college activities such as Homecoming, HHS Pin Pals (HHS alumni pins are given to HHS graduation candidates prior to the commencement ceremony), and HHS Career Services networking events with students.
