HHS Award Information
Distinguished Alumni Award
- HHS alumni age 36 or over;
- significant career advancement;
- long-term leadership within his/her chosen profession;
- noteworthy professional accomplishments that reflect favorably on his/her profession, Purdue University and society;
- nominated by staff and the academic units;
- selected by college staff with final approval by the Dean.
Service Award
- demonstrated leadership ability in the community through the development of/or significant contributions to private or public programs that improve or enhance the quality of life for individuals, families, and/or communities;.
- nominated by staff, academic units, alumni and friends;
- selected by the HHS Alumni Board with final approval by the Dean.
Outstanding Young Alumni Award
- HHS alumni 35 or younger;
- outstanding career development either through traditional channels or innovative approaches;
- support for profession;
- involvement in professional organizations, college alumni association or community activities;
- nominated by staff, academic units, alumni and friends;
- selected by the HHS Alumni Board with final approval by the Dean.
General Information
- Nominees for all three categories must have received one or more degrees from an HHS academic unit.
- Awardees must be present at the Alumni Awards Dinner to receive the award.
- If recipient is unable to attend, the award will be held for one year.
- Nominations are due September 7, 2012.
