- Establish your online
Purdue career account and Purdue e-mail through SSINFO.
SSINFO is Purdue Student Service's online information designed
just for Purdue students!
- Apply
for housing as early as possible
but no later than March 1.
- Pay attention to all information
you receive from Purdue. Some of
it will require a response from
you, and some of it will have a
reply deadline.
- Contact
the college/school/program to
which you've been admitted to
get answers to any questions
you may have about academic programs,
scholarships, student organizations,
etc.
- Receive educational discounts on computer hardware and software.
- Explore Purdue's great pre-enrollment
programs, such as Purdue's
For Me, and consider a campus
visit to attend one if possible.
Such programs will help you learn
more about academic programs, housing,
student life, and more.
- Contact your academic advisor
to schedule classes.
- Attend the Summer
Welcome orientation program
before classes begin to meet
other students and get to know
Purdue.
- First-time college students:
attend the five-day Boiler
Gold Rush orientation program
in August, the week before fall
semester begins, to meet a lot
of other new students, get to know
Purdue, and have a great time.
