ensure a smooth transition as you join the Boilermaker family!
Admitted student to-do list
(U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent
resident):
- Establish your online
Purdue career account and Purdue
e-mail through SSINFO. SSINFO
is Purdue Student Service's on-line
information designed just for
Purdue students!
- View your Preliminary Financial Aid Estimate and any
merit based scholarships you may have received by clicking
the following link. (SSINFO). Once
at this site, click on Financial and then Aid Status to
view this information
- If you didn't submit a Preliminary
Financial Aid Estimate Application
with your admission application,
download a PDF of the form and
submit it to the Purdue
Division of Financial Aid.
- Apply
for housing as early as possible
but no later than March 1. Your housing preference form will be available online after you receive your contract in April.
- Pay attention to all information
you receive from Purdue. Some of
it will require a response from
you, and some of it will have a
reply deadline.
- Contact the college/school/program to
which you've been admitted to
get answers to any questions
you may have about academic programs,
scholarships, student organizations,
etc.
- Receive educational discounts on computer hardware and software.
- File your Free
Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA) between January
1 and March 1.
- Check into Learning
Communities — individual groups of first-year
students with common academic or personal interests.
- Attend the Purdue's
For Me on-campus program
in the spring to learn more about
academic programs, housing, student
life, financial aid, and more.
- Accept your offer of admission
and submit your $100 advance deposit
on fees by May 1 to secure your
spot at Purdue.
- Attend Day
on Campus orientation program
in June or July to schedule classes,
meet with your academic advisor,
take advance placement tests,
and more.
- First-time college students:
attend the five-day Boiler
Gold Rush orientation program
the week before classes begin to
meet a lot of other new students,
get to know Purdue, and have a
great time.
- Transfer students: attend the Fall
Welcome orientation program
before classes begin to meet
other transfer students and get
to know Purdue.
