What We're Doing

Purdue University Human Resources and Student Life have joined together to implement a comprehensive review of health resources on the West Lafayette campus.

The goals of the study, which we are calling Healthy Boiler, are to improve the health of all members of the campus community and to make campus healthcare offerings more efficient, effective and user-friendly for students, faculty and staff.

Purdue has enlisted consultant LHD Benefit Advisors to conduct the study of healthcare services and offerings as well as the facilities currently available to students and benefits-eligible faculty, staff, and dependents. LHD will conduct site visits at Purdue's Center for Healthy Living (CHL), the on-site healthcare facility for benefits-eligible faculty and staff and their dependents, and the Purdue University Student Health Center (PUSH), the campus facility for students.

Consultants will meet with focus groups; survey students, faculty and staff; and hold regular meetings with various constituent groups across campus. The review also will include data analysis and individual staff and user feedback. Eva Nodine, director of benefits, and PUSH director Gail Walenga will work directly with the consulting team on the review.
