Move cancer research forward. Purdue University is proud to Hammer Down Cancer in the fight against the disease. Purdue’s Hammer Down Cancer campaign, in partnership with the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research, is focused on discovering how cancers develop, progress and respond to treatment. Then, we can make advancements in medicines, detection and diagnostic methods — and develop more effective treatments and highly efficient drugs.
The Purdue football team will hold its annual Hammer Down Cancer game on Saturday, September 24 vs. Nevada to help raise awareness for this important cause. For this Hammer Down Cancer game, fans are asked to wear cancer-supporting merchandise to help those battling the disease and honor those who have survived. The Purdue football team will display its support for cancer research. Tickets to the game will become available on June 23.
