Current Research Interests:

The overall objective of our research is to deliver integrated solutions including instrumentation and methods based on mass spectrometry for fast chemical and biological analysis as well as clinical diagnosis. The specific research areas include 1) sampling and ionization methods for analysis of complex biological samples, 2) fundamental studies of ionization and mass analysis, 3) instrument package and operation procedures for biological analysis and clinical diagnosis. The current projects include the direct sampling ionization methods, miniaturization of ion trap mass spectrometers, data processing and analysis, ion trajectory simulations, and direct analysis to biological samples.
