K-12 Outreach - Fall 2013

The Fall 2013 Purdue LSAMP Research Cohort provided a learning opportunity for a total of 100 fifth through sixth grade students from Mayflower Mill Elementary School in Lafayette, IN on Wednesday October 23rd, 2013.

Through a series of hands-on activities, the Purdue students helped the participants understand the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields, and show that higher education is within their reach, and illustrate how STEM fields are fun and exciting areas to explore.
