The SMART Scholarship for Service Program (smart.asee.org) is an opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines to receive a scholarship and be employed upon degree completion as a civilian scientist or engineer at a Department of Defense facility. Scholarships awarded include a stipend up to $38,000 a year, full tuition, health insurance contribution, and book allowance. The program traditionally accepts new applications each fall. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

The Self Graduate Fellowship offers a special opportunity for U.S. citizens seeking a doctorate at the University of Kansas. This selective four-year fellowship offers generous support ($29,500 for 2014-2015), full tuition, and a unique professional development program. The fellowship value exceeds $165,000.
Students apply to Ph.D. programs in business; economics; engineering; mathematics; and biological, biomedical, pharmaceutical and physical sciences; and may then be nominated for the Fellowship. On average, eight awards are made annually.

The Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC) is seeking graduate students and post-docs to join its research program at the University of Oklahoma (OU) in Norman, OK. The ARRC is an interdisciplinary program that is primarily within the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) and School of Meteorology (SoM) at OU. The ARRC currently has 17 faculty members, 4 staff, 61 graduate students, 11 postdocs. Areas of emphasis exist in rapid hardware prototyping, advanced signal processing, antennas, UAS sensors, severe weather, applied electromagnetics, and microwave engineering. The ARRC is housed in a new complex called the Radar Innovations Lab (RIL), which is one of the nation’s most comprehensive university facilities for radar engineering and electromagnetics based research. The RIL has two new anechoic chambers, high-bay garages, machine shop, etc. With an abundance of projects and specialized curriculum within the ARRC, graduate students and post-docs are sought.

The BRET Office administers the first year Ph.D. programs in biomedical sciences, the M.D./Ph.D. program, and the Summer Science Academy, a research program for visiting undergraduate students interested in biomedical research. Students may train in any one of over 200 labs in the following areas: biochemistry, biological sciences, cancer biology, cell and developmental biology, chemical and physical biology, human genetics, microbiology & immunology, molecular physiology & biophysics, neuroscience, pathology, and pharmacology.

Northwestern Law School is proud to offer the Master of Science in Law degree (MSL), designed for students with backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine. The MSL will provide focused, business-centered legal training in the areas of patents/intellectual property, regulatory analysis, and entrepreneurship. A one-year degree on the full-time schedule, the MSL will expose its technically-trained students to the legal and regulatory structures that they encounter (or will encounter) in their respective careers. The program can also be completed on a part-time basis.
