Dr. Jun Xie received her B.S. in 1994 and M.S. in 1997, both in Probability and Statistics from Peking University, China. She received her Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2000. She joined Purdue as an assistant professor of Statistics in 2001. She was promoted to full Professor in 2014. Her research group works on advanced statistical methods for large-scale inference, with applications in big genomic data to identify disease susceptibility genes and predict treatment response.
