Vincent Jo Davisson, Ph.D. is a Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacy and represents the College of Pharmacy on the Graduate Council. Dr. Davisson came to Purdue in 1989 and has maintained a continuous role in graduate student education and training. His research in the area of new methods and technologies for drug discovery and development has fostered highly interdisciplinary approaches and provided a fertile scientific environment for graduate training including 32 individuals who have received degrees under his mentorship. He has served in a variety of roles within the College of Pharmacy and the University as well as outside peer reviewer for National Institutes of Health. He has been a Purdue Faculty Scholar since 1999. His good fortune and success with graduate researchers has resulted in a number of honors and awards including acknowledged as a Fellow of the American Association for Advancement of Science and most recently 2015 Chaney Faculty Scholar Award.
