Samuel Midkiff

Samuel Midkiff is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He has published over 75 referred papers. He has advised 11 Ph.D. students. Before arriving at Purdue in 2002 he was a Research Staff Member at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. His research areas have included programming language memory models, compiling explicitly parallel programs, high performance Java, debugging of parallel and mobile programs and high performance model based image reconstruction.
