Student Achievement Awards

Ecological Sciences and Engineering host annual Student Achievement Awards, which are presented at our Spring Celebration.  Students may be nominated and apply for the two award categories below.

Outstanding Graduate Student in Research Award

This award will be given annually to an outstanding Ecological Sciences and Engineering (ESE) graduate student in research.  ESE will seek nominations from ESE faculty and students each Spring Semester.  Students who are nominated will be contacted to submit application materials electronically.  The award winner will be determined by several faculty reviewers.  Winners will be notified via email and will be honored at our ESE Spring Celebration.  Winners will receive a plaque and a cash award of $350.  Only currently enrolled students are eligible to apply.

Outstanding Graduate Student in Teaching Award

This award will be given annually to an outstanding Ecological Sciences and Engineering (ESE) graduate student in teaching.  ESE will seek nominations from ESE faculty and students each Spring Semester.  Students who are nominated will be contacted to submit application materials electronically.  The award winner will be determined by several faculty reviewers.  Winners will be notified via email and will be honored at our ESE Spring Celebration.  Winners will receive a plaque and a cash award of $350.  Only currently enrolled students are eligible to apply. Previous winners are not eligible for this award
