Research Title:

Improving Model-Based Design of Experiments

Research Description:

Experiments are meant to inform researchers about the systems under study. Yet, what is the best way to carry out experiments to get the most information about these interesting systems? This is where I come in. Model-based design of experiments (MBDOE) allows for the efficient use of resources to design and plan experiments to give us the insight necessary to elucidate those phenomena that we wish to understand better. Using computational modeling as an effective tool gives us increased capabilities in that regard, especially when it comes to potential improvements in existing algorithms.

About Me:

I definitely see myself getting in on the cutting edge of industry. The applications of my work and related fields certainly piques my interest. I hope to carry all the skills I have learnt in my time here to the next stage of my career with the intent of producing a truly novel and innovative technology of the future, whether in my immediate area of research or beyond. The benefits of this program are already beginning to show itself in the way I approach my work.
