Chelsea C. Hayes, a native of San Jose, CA earned Bachelor degrees in Public Health Promotion and Public Relations after beginning college at the age of sixteen at Purdue University. In 2010, as she emerged as a leader on campus and in her community, she was elected to the position of National 2nd Vice President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, the largest non-profit, public service sorority in the world. From 2010-2013, she focused on overseeing, retaining, enforcing regulations and providing coaching to the sorority’s membership with 250,000+ members globally.
In 2012, she received a Masters Degree in Corporate Communication from Northwestern University. She has provided hundreds of keynote addresses illuminating the keys to success for Generation Y on the campuses of Syracuse University, University of Oklahoma, California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, University of Wisconsin, Hampton University, and Georgia Southern University among many more.
Professionally, Chelsea spent 3 years with GE-one of the world’s largest conglomerates. She worked in diversity, sales and found her niche in the dynamic function of HR. Her complex roles provided HR support in the areas of talent development, new hire experience innovation, career navigation, succession planning and executive coaching to over 1,200 employees. In her current role as the Director of HR, The Africa Channel, (an entity of Williams Group Holdings, LLC.) she thoroughly enjoys implementing company policies, facilitating employee evaluation along with the executive development of the staff. An avid fitness enthusiast, she is a proud member of the Board of Directors for STEM Sister Summit and the youngest member of the College of Liberal Arts Board of Directors at Purdue University.
