My name is Rob Henry, I am a sophomore from Ocala, Florida and I am living my dreams at Purdue.
Last year I appeared in 11 games, making seven starts as quarterback. I was the team’s Leonard Wilson Award winner for unselfishness and dedication. I was the first Purdue quarterback in school history to lead the team in both rushing and passing in one season.
Coming into the fall of 2011 I was the starting quarterback and a team captain when, in late August, I had a non-contact ACL tear in my right knee.
It was a tough moment as I realized I would not be able to play this season. But my teammates rallied around me. The coaches encouraged me. The doctors did a wonderful job.
Each year, all 18 Boilermaker sports programs benefit from the generosity of the John Purdue Club. The John Purdue Club is responsible for raising all the funds necessary to cover the tuition, room and board, books and academic support costs of Purdue's 500 student-athletes.
My name is Rob Henry. I am one of the scholarship athletes your gifts are supporting.
Thanks to you, we are all living our dreams at Purdue.
