Letter From a Grateful Student

Dear Purdue Scholarship Donor,

I would very much like to thank you for the Purdue General Scholarship. Because of you, my goal of attending Purdue University has become a reality; I cannot begin to express how much that means to me.

I've spent my life living in a quiet rural area of Indiana. During the school year, I've worked hard to achieve good grades and participated in community soccer all four years. Since before high school, I've held summer jobs detassling corn. I feel I am very fortunate to have been accepted to Purdue University but knew without financial aid I had little hope of actually being able to attend.

I plan to get an early start on my Purdue experience by attending Boiler Gold Rush before the school year actually begins, which I'm really looking forward to. I intend to work toward a degree in computer graphics technology, a field I've always found intriguing. I'm confident that with an education from Purdue, I will be capable of achieving a successful career in this field. Without the finances required to attend, though, none of this would be possible. For this reason, I again thank you for making it possible for me to live out my dreams and giving me the opportunity to be successful.
