Official Purdue Pete Virtual Scavenger Hunt Contest Rules

It’s the ultimate virtual game of hide and seek! As part of Homecoming 2011 you’re invited to take part in a fun-filled scavenger hunt to find Purdue Pete – he is hiding in Purdue’s website — in more than one place!

Great clues and even better prizes make this THE game to play during Homecoming week. Prizes will be awarded daily and the contestant that answers the most questions correctly during the week will win the grand prize — four tickets for the Iowa game on Nov. 19.

Ready or not, here I come!

How to play

 

It’s easy. Each day Purdue Pete is hiding in five locations on our website. Clues to find Purdue Pete will be posted on the official Homecoming website. 

Once you find him, click on the Purdue Pete icon and correctly answer the questions of the day. You will instantly be entered in that day’s competition and have a chance to win!

The Where’s Pete? virtual scavenger hunt begins 10/17/11 at 9:00 a.m. EST and ends 10/21/11 at 5:00 p.m. EST sharp.

Contest Rules

  1. Go to the Homecoming homepage for daily clues.
  2. Follow Where’s Pete on Purdue's official Facebook page and Twitter for clues.
  3. Once you find the official Purdue Pete icon, simply click on the icon and answer the question correctly to be eligible to win the daily prizes. Keep looking — Purdue Pete is hiding in five locations per day.
  4. Computer will draw winners for daily prizes randomly at the end of each day.
  5. The college, school, or department that provides the daily prizes will contact winner. The grand prize winner of the Purdue vs. Iowa ticket pack will be announced at the Purdue Homecoming Stage at Stadium Mall on 10/22/11 at approximately 10:10 a.m. You do not need to be present to win. If winner is not present, they will be notified by 10/24/11.
  6. The prizes cannot be redeemed for cold hard cash.
