The South Campus Plaza, adjacent to the Yue Kong Pao Hall of Visual and Performing Arts creates the first extensive green-space developed on the south end of campus. A full city block of Wood Street between Marsteller and Sheetz streets was closed permanently to accommodate this beautiful oasis.
Since its completion, the plaza has become a heavily traveled route and is a perfect gathering place for students, staff, and alumni. The seating and unique landscape make for an ideal atmosphere for outdoor classes and meetings.
A permanent plaque acknowledging our class gift was placed in the plaza during its dedication in April 2009.
