 During
the recent school year, the Galleries acquired artwork for the
permanent collection as gifts from generous individual collectors
and through purchases made possible by support of the Friends
of the Galleries. This diverse grouping includes prints by Pablo
Picasso, Mary Cassatt, Pierre Bonnard, and contemporary Mexican
artists; ceramic plates by Jean Cocteau; and traditional African
sculptural objects.
