NPHC Events

Week of Events

Each fall NPHC hosts a week of events to welcome students back to campus. This year we were able to collaborate with other campus partners including African American Studies, Black Cultural Center, Diversity and Inclusion, Purdue 360, the Black Male Excellence Network (BMEN) and Breaking Bread as well as several student organizations including the Multicultural Greek Council, NAACP, Black Graduate Student Association, and the Black Student Union.

Yard Show

The annual NPHC Yard Show serves to promote unity and inclusion within the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and is also a showcase for the Purdue Community to see the accomplishments of the council. The event is free to all guests and includes live entertainment and a celebration of the council’s near 80 year existence. The event includes entertainment and recognition of the nine member organizations and their members, and will be a welcome to all new members who have joined in the last academic year.

NPHC 101

In order to provide an opportunity for students to learn more about all of the NPHC organizations and to help educate students on the purpose of each organization, NPHC hosted a symposium. At the beginning of the symposium, the students learned about this history of NPHC and who the organizations are. They also were given tips on ways to express interest in the future. Afterward, the students visited rooms for each of the organizations and learned more specific information about each organization and their local chapters.

Community Service

NPHC engages in a variety of community service events throughout the spring and fall semesters, including canned food drives, blanket donations, supply drives, and Days of Service to give back to the local community. For more information about upcoming community service events, please check out the Calendar of Events!

Step Show

Annually Purdue's NPHC hosts a Step Show competition in the spring semester. All of the member organizations in good standing compete to be the step show champions! Each year there is a theme selected by the council and the individual organizations create a show based on this theme. This high energy event showcases the personalities, and talents of NPHC!
