Recreational Sports for Faculty and Staff: Recreational Sports Center

Recreational Sports Center (RSC)

The RSC, located at the corner of Third Street and Martin Jischke Drive, serves as the administrative center for all indoor and outdoor programs of the Division of Recreational Sports. The RSC houses the Colby Fitness Center in its lower level and has other indoor facilities for badminton, basketball, handball, martial arts, racquetball, roller/floor hockey, soccer, squash, table tennis, volleyball, and wallyball. Outdoor facilities include areas for basketball, horseshoes, tennis, sand volleyball, Pickett Memorial Park picnic area, the Black and Gold playing fields, the Class of 1979 High Team Challenge Course, and the L. Tony Hawkins Boiler Challenge Course.

Faculty/staff members and their spouses are eligible to purchase annual and semester recreational facility passes, which entitle them to use the RSC and the Boilermaker Aquatic Center (AQUA). Annual, semester, and daily locker and/or towel service is available. Family memberships are also available. Children of faculty and staff members are eligible to use the facilities after 5:00 p.m. on Fridays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays during the first and second semesters, as well as semester breaks, holidays, and summer session. The RSC Equipment Center is the place to check out selected sports equipment on a daily basis. At the Welcome Center, reservations are available for handball, racquetball, squash, and wallyball. These reservations must be made and paid for in person and can be made up to 14 days in advance. Various sales merchandise (swimming goggles/caps, weight gloves, tennis balls, etc.) can also be purchased at the Welcome Center.

Monday-Thursday, 5:30 a.m.-2 a.m.
Friday, 5:30 a.m-Midnight
Saturday, 8 a.m.-Midnight
Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 a.m.
Hours will vary during holidays and academic breaks.

Summer Operating Hours:
Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-8 p.m.
Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
