Recreation
Recreational Sports for Faculty and Staff: Fitness/Wellness Services

The Colby Fitness Center is 19,000 square feet of air-conditioned fitness space. Located in the RSC’s lower level, there are more than 190 pieces of strength-training and cardiovascular equipment, 17 televisions, and a state-of-the-art stereo system. Nearly 40 group exercise classes are offered per week at the RSC and AQUA. Some past classes include Crunch N Flex, Body Sculpting, and Cardio Blast. Fitness assessments, consultations and orientations, and a comprehensive personal training programs also are available. Fees vary.

Fees for group exercise classes are as follows:

• Academic semester — $40

• Summer session — Free

Fees include unlimited participation in all classes throughout the semester

Participants can attend any of the classes during the first week of each semester for no fee.

A variety of Learn-to-Play instructional classes are offered for a nominal fee throughout the year. Examples of such classes are Yoga, Cardio Kick-boxing, Pilates, and Group Cycling. Registration and payment of fees must be completed in person at the RSC Welcome Center. You can pick up registration materials at the RSC or download them at www.purdue.edu/recsports.
