Purdue Women's Club, Inc.
This organization is open to all women in the Purdue and Lafayette–West Lafayette communities. The purpose of the club is to encourage social, intellectual, educational, and cultural interaction among members. The club meets throughout the year and sponsors several special functions including a fall and spring luncheon, a lecture series, dinner get-togethers, art and educational day trips, and bus trips to Chicago.
In addition to general club programs, members are invited to join interest groups. These smaller interest groups bring members with similar interests or hobbies together. They are a great way to meet new friends as well as deepen your knowledge and enjoyment of your shared interest. The monthly interest groups include antiques, bird study, books, bowling, bridge, classic modern short stories, films/movies, gardening, golf, gourmet cooking, heirlooms, inquisitive cuisine, international friendship, knitting and crocheting, moms and tots, needlecraft, unfinished projects, and vegetarian potluck.
A newcomers’ group provides a strong support system and programs to individuals new to the community. The program to introduce and entertain new members during their first two years provides easy access to new friendships and activities.
