Athletic Events

As a member of the Intercollegiate (Big Ten) Conference of Faculty Representatives and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Purdue University engages in intercollegiate competition in 18 different sports in accordance with established regulations.

Special rates for admission to intercollegiate athletic contests have been established for staff members.

The following regular employees are entitled to purchase staff football season tickets for themselves, spouses, and minor children:

  1. All full-time members of the University staffs (administrative, instructional, research, extension, clerical, and service) located on all the University's campuses.
  2. All part-time members of the University staffs, provided they furnish a statement (three-by-five card) signed by the head of their department certifying that they are members of the regular staff and indicating their title or classification.
  3. County extension agents when approved by the director of Cooperative Extension or appointed designee.

Individuals employed on a temporary basis are not eligible to purchase staff season tickets for either football or basketball.

The following individuals whose duties are affiliated closely with the University may purchase staff football season tickets for themselves, spouses, and minor children:

  1. Campus ministers, when approved by the President's Office.
  2. Housemothers, when approved by the dean of students.
  3. United States Department of Agriculture employees who are located on the Purdue Campus, when approved by the dean of agriculture or designee.

The aforementioned groups also may purchase staff season basketball tickets on the same basis as football tickets, if available.

Sales of the staff football and staff basketball season tickets will be separate. Sale of the football season tickets opens on April 1, while the sale of staff basketball season tickets opens on October 1. (Basketball mail order only accepted.)

Staff members can place orders for football season tickets at the ticket office in the football complex after the established opening date. Orders also can be placed by campus mail with the required remittance attached.

So far as possible, applications for staff tickets will be furnished directly, but application blanks also will be available at the ticket office.

Staff members placing orders must sign a card stating that they are currently employed by the University.
