Solicitation, Canvassing, and
Peddling on Campus
No canvassing, peddling, or soliciting of any product
(e.g., magazine, periodical, or newspaper) or service
is permitted on any property owned or occupied by the
University, except as permitted under Executive
Vice President and Treasurer’s Memorandum No.
A-27,
dated July 10, 1975, “Revised Regulations Regarding
Canvassing, Peddling, and Soliciting and the Delivery
of Merchandise on the Campuses of Purdue University.” Any
canvassing, soliciting, or peddling in violation of
Memorandum No. A-27, including such conduct on the
University’s e-mail systems, should be reported
to the director of purchasing.
The University has approved an annual, campuswide solicitation
for charitable contributions to the United Way. The
University's approval of soliciting, canvassing, or
peddling does not imply any obligation to its employees
to contribute or purchase.
