Bill of Student Rights
After long and conscientious study and debate in both
the Student Senate and in the University Senate, students
and faculty arrived at consensus on a document called
the Bill of Student Rights, subsequently approved by
the Board of Trustees. In the spirit of academic freedom
and attainment of maturity, the document outlines student
rights and responsibilities, plus an appeals system
if students feel that they have not been treated fairly.
The Bill of Student Rights is presented in detail in
University Regulations, available from the
Office of the Dean of Students, and in the Academic
Procedure Manual, page O-41, available in each
department office.
